F.A.Q - Useful Info & Packing Tips

Richter Lake Outpost Camp:

We recently acquired this outpost camp. It has not been consistently fished since 1992 so you can expect exceptional fishing. There is a brand new 24x16 foot cabin that sleeps 8 people comfortably with plenty of room for gear.

Amenities include: refrigerator, wood stove, propane stove and propane lighting. The cabin is wired for electricity. Therefore, if you supply a small generator, electricity is available. Please Note: Gas for your generator would be available to you at no additional charge.

Richter Lake could be the top Walleye lake in Ontario as far as numbers. Reaching that 100 Walleyes per day mark is easy. There are plenty of Northern Pike up to the 40-inch mark with a few 40+ Northerns being reported buy guests. We also have Moose hunting out of this outpost camp in the fall. Please select a link below to read more details about the fishing and hunting.

Please read this fishing report (Adobe .pdf)

Walleye Fishing Breakdown: You should be able to catch 100 to 150 good eating size Walleye a day. Numbers are truly exceptional.

Northern Pike Fishing Breakdown: You should be able to catch 15 to 30 good size Northern Pike up to 9 pounds in a day. Availability of Monster Trophy Northern Pike is outstanding.

Moose Hunting Breakdown: The region north of Nakina is famous for Moose hunting with Bull Moose reaching 1500 pounds.
